Tilton Farm Trail Work Day and Celebration October 13th, 2012

Volunteers are needed to help the Goshen Open Space Committee complete  its restoration of the Tilton Farm Trail on Wing Hill Rd.in Goshen on  Saturday, October 13, between 9 AM and 2 PM. We'll be clearing the trail  of debris and mounting informational signs, blazes and tree i.d. tags on  the north and south loops on both sides of Wing Hill Road.

At 2 PM, we invite the public for refreshments at the trailhead kiosk on  Wing Hill Road next to the old Tilton Town Farm barn and for exploration  of the new trail. We are celebrating the completion of our three-year  Recreational Trails grant project to rebuild and create informational signage for this multi-use wooded trail on town land.

Work party volunteers should bring hand tools for clearing trail debris,  pruning overgrowth, putting in metal posts and attaching signs. Please  bring your own water bottle, bug spray, and work gloves. Tilton Town Farm  is on Wing Hill Road in Goshen off East Stree tand adjacent to the  Goshen landfill/recycling center; meet at Tilton Farm Trail kiosk.

Rain  date: Sunday, October 14.
